Closing Reception: KNOTTING with Ako Gabbeh x Arts & Crafts Village

For the first time outside Japan, the weavers of Ako Gabbeh present hand-knotted Gabbeh and Dantsu works that carry forward a craft tradition inherited from the nomadic peoples of the Silk Road, transformed through Japan’s own culture and environment, and passed down through generations. Each chair rug is carefully made with cotton yarns dyed in indigo and natural dyes, transforming an everyday object into a distinctive canvas of color, story, and texture. Blending art with contemporary interior and home design, these beautifully crafted pieces are made to be collected, lived with, and enjoyed every day.
