FRESH 2020 Artist Talk: Patty Carroll and Tara Cronin

Patty Carroll and Tara Cronin will be joined by the owners of the Klompching Gallery, Darren Ching and Debra Klomp Ching, for an artist talk about their work in the Fresh 2020 Annual Summer Exhibition.

Patty Carroll was Adjunct Full Professor Photography at SAIC until 2014. Education includes BFA, University of Illinois, and MS in Photography, Institute of Design, IIT. Grants include 2003 Artist Fellowship, Illinois Arts Council, 2014 & 2017 Photolucida Critical Mass: Top 50. Solo museum exhibits include: Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, Art Institute of Chicago, Royal Photographic Society, Bath, England, State of Illinois Gallery and Museum, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO, White Box Museum, Beijing, China, Chicago Cultural Center. Recent monographs: Anonymous Women 2016, Anonymous Women: Domestic Demise, 2020. Currently AIR at Studios Inc, Kansas City, MO.

Tara Anne Cronin is an artist and writer focusing on photography and works on paper. She received a BA in Writing from New School University, an MFA from ICP/Bard. Having exhibited throughout New York City, North America and internationally, Tara was recently awarded 2nd Place for the Director’s Choice Award 2019 with CENTER at Santa Fe. Tara and her partner Ed Chen took on a coffee farm in 2015 to apply their agricultural technology, and she is now a coffee roaster and farmer as well. She has taught with ICP and with Donkey Mill Art Center, and also is on Donkey Mill’s Exhibitions Committee.
